SWMU ADMISSION FOR UNDERGRADUATE

CLINICAL MEDICINE (M.B.B.S.) PROGRAM (2023)

General information

1. Duration: 6 years, containing 5 years of Medical Course study and 1 year of Internship

2. Instruction language: English

*Note: Other fees including insurance, visa, textbooks, miscellaneous fees, etc. shall be paid as actual price.

Prerequisites

1. Age requirements: 18-35 years old

2. Educational background: applicants must have attained Senior High School Diploma or above with decent grades

3. Language requirements:

(1) Chinese language requirements- basic Chinese language ability;

(2) English language requirements- good English language ability. Applicants whose native language is not English must have academic IELTS 6.0 overall (no less than 5.0 in each item) or above, TOEFL online examination 70 points overall (no less than 15 points in each item) or above, or other equivalent English test results. Applicants whose native language is English or applicants whose instruction language during whole secondary school is English, the English test results can be exempted, but must submit the English performance result and English Teaching Certificate issued by the graduating secondary school.

4. Applicants for Bachelor’s Degree must pass SWMU entrance exam and interview, the entrance exam subjects are: English, mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology.

5. Promise to buy medical insurance during study in our university.

6. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health condition. For applicants who were Chinese citizens and became foreign citizens, the Notice of the Ministry of Education on Regulating Work Related to the Acceptance of Foreign Students by Domestic Colleges and Universities (JWH [2020] No. 12) will apply.

4. Copy of valid passport

5. Photocopies of Senior High School Diploma and its notarization documents, and Official Academic Records

6. Physical Examination Report, which must be original document with the seal of a government hospital

7. English language proof

8. Financial Statement: Evidence of financial support (bank deposit, etc.)

9. Electronic ID photos with following requirements:

（1）2-inch, white background, photo size not less than 320 * 240 pixels

（2）height & width ratio is 4:3

（3）photo size is 100-500KB in JPG

（4）name each photo with passport number

Application Procedure

1. Time of Application: April 1^st to August 30^th, 2023

*Note: according to the actual enrollment, the application time can be postponed appropriately.

2. The university will evaluate applicants’ materials，organize the exam and interview for qualified applicants.

3. The Confirmation Letter and Visa Application Form for International Students to China (form JW202) will be mailed to the qualified applicants, with which the students can apply for their “X” visas at the Chinese Embassy.

Scholarship

1. Sichuan Government Scholarship

Amount: 20,000 RMB/year

2. University Scholarship

Amount: 1000---4,000 RMB/year

*Note: In addition to the regular university scholarship, the university supplies scholarship of 6000 RMB/person/year for all 2023 batch Bachelor Program (M.B.B.S.) students.
